The day marked the first public outing of our Humanize & Systemize philosophy. A belief that as AI transforms marketing, the brands that grow will be those that combine greater humanity with smarter systems.
Across keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops, one theme consistently emerged: we're not simply adapting to AI…. we're redesigning the way B2B marketing works.
From creativity and brand differentiation, to executive influence, systems thinking and the emergence of Brand Intelligence Systems, the day was packed with practical ideas and refreshingly honest conversations.
While AI is undoubtedly changing our industry at pace – and client-side marketers are clearly feeling this on the frontline – there was also a consensus that the opportunity for marketers has never been greater.
Here are our five biggest takeaways.
Bea Alabaster unveiled findings from our latest Humanizing Index report, analysing more than 700 B2B brands across eight sectors using our AI-powered Pulse platform.
The findings confirmed what many of us instinctively feel: B2B has become trapped in a sea of sameness.
The average brand scored just 2.5 out of 5 for humanity, with emotional impact emerging as the weakest dimension across every sector. Yet we know that 95% of B2B buyers aren't in-market and powerful creative is 10-20x more effective than mediocre assets.
The opportunity couldn't be clearer: the brands that create genuine emotional connection will be the ones that drive trust, preference and memory – and escape B2BLAND.
Bryony Smithers and James Swan's Beyond the Prompt session showcased work created by humans, AI and combinations of both, demonstrating how the best ideas emerge when technology enhances creativity.
Rather than debating whether AI should replace creativity, the discussion focused on a more important question: what actually makes work memorable? Technology can accelerate production, but originality and emotional resonance remain the ingredients audiences remember.
Yasmine Khan and Joel Harrison explored the growing importance of human presence and trust throughout the buying journey.
Executive branding has evolved far beyond posting on LinkedIn. Today's leaders need to build visibility through authentic conversations, communities, events and real-world relationships that create trust long before a sales conversation begins. Human connection matters, and it is the foundation for long-term business growth.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day was just how energised everyone became talking about systems!
Far from being a technical discipline, systems thinking is about designing better experiences, for customers and marketers alike. Starting with an ‘under the bonnet’ look at the latest agentic systems in practice, we then explored how Brand Memory Systems could help organisations learn faster, work smarter and create more consistent experiences.
If there was one idea that connected every session, it was this.
Marketing's role is expanding. We must continue to create brands people trust, remember and choose, while building intelligent systems that help organisations learn faster, make better decisions and deliver more consistent customer experiences.
The future isn't AI-first. It isn't human-only.
It's an intelligent combination of both.
